St. Rose of Lima
Born Isabel Flores de Oliva in colonial Lima, a Dominican laywoman who lived in severe penance in her parents' garden and became the first canonized saint of the Americas.

- DEATH DATE NOT ASSERTED. The Catholic Encyclopedia gives 30 August 1617; most modern sources give 24 August 1617. Thirty August is the date her feast is still kept in Peru and much of Latin America, which is a plausible route for the discrepancy. Tier 2 stores no death date, so nothing here depends on resolving it.
