I’m Chris. I built this because choosing a Confirmation name is usually done in a hurry, off a list of names with nothing attached to them, and it deserves better than that.

The problem isn’t that candidates don’t care. It’s that the reading is hard to find. Most saint pages are either one line with no source, or a devotional life with no way to tell which parts are documented and which have been handed down. Somebody with a worksheet due Friday takes the first name that sounds right.

So this is small and slow on purpose. Every entry is written by hand from published documents — texts from the Holy See, and the Catholic Encyclopedia where a saint is old enough that modern sources don’t reach. Every entry shows its sources, including the awkward ones: where a date is uncertain, where a document is cited but not held, where the story people tell isn’t the story the record supports. Some entries run to several hundred words and some to a single sentence. That is what the sources carry, not a judgment about the saint.

Nothing here is stored. There is no account, no email, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Quiz answers travel in the address bar and disappear when you close the page.

This site is not affiliated with any parish, diocese or religious order, and nothing on it is an official text of the Church. Where your parish has its own rules about which names it accepts, your parish is right.
